The Summer Peace University 2025 is proud to announce that the international Forums on 10 and 17 October will take place under the patronage of the Representation of the European Commission in Italy. This recognition confirms the academic and institutional value of the SPU and places our work within a highly significant European framework.
The European Commission, through its Representation in Italy, has the task of informing, engaging, and bringing citizens closer to European policies, supporting public dialogue and strengthening democratic participation. This patronage is therefore a tangible sign of the Commission’s attention towards the education of future leaders in peace and sustainability.
The two Forums under patronage will represent central moments of the SPU:
on 10 October 2025 with “The Future of the Global Order”, a debate dedicated to geopolitical transformations and the new balance of international relations;
on 17 October 2025 with “Beyond Borders: Dialogues of Peace and Autonomy for Stateless Peoples”, a discussion on the prospects of self-determination, rights, and shared security.
Both Forums are fully in line with the lectures and themes of SPU 2025, which this year will address crucial issues such as multilateralism, cooperative security, intercultural dialogue, global justice, and the ethics of diplomacy.
Thanks to this support, the Summer Peace University strengthens its mission: to create an international space for reflection and education where institutions, academia, and young people can work together to build pathways of peace and sustainability.
