The Summer Peace University (SPU) is a global educational initiative founded by the Calabrian Institute of International Policies (IsCaPI) and based in Belvedere Marittimo, Italy.
Developed with an international network of partner universities, it brings together students, academics, and diplomats from around the world to promote peace, cooperation, and sustainable development through education and intercultural exchange.
For four immersive weeks, the historic village becomes a living university where learning goes beyond the classroom.
Guided by the philosophy Learning by Living, SPU connects theory with practice through shared experiences, dialogue, and collaboration among diverse cultures.
The 2026 edition, “Humanity at the Crossroads: Education and Leadership for a Sustainable Civilization,” focuses on shaping empathetic, responsible leaders prepared to address global challenges.
Through courses, Peace Labs, forums, and artistic programs, participants develop critical thinking, leadership skills, and a strong international network—actively contributing to peace and positive change.
Summer Peace University is aligned with the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Our learning path translates into policy-oriented outputs through weekly Peace Memos and an annual White Paper, anchored in SDGs 4 (Education), 16 (Peace, Justice and Institutions) and 17 (Partnerships).

The Summer Peace University offers partial scholarships for students from member universities. To apply, simply complete the online inscription form. Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email with further details and next steps.

The program provides partial scholarships for students of each University Member. To apply, students must complete the inscription form.

Await confirmation email
Once the form is sent, participants will receive an email with the letter confirmation and procedure.

VISA SUPPORT
Students that need to require a Visa, will receive an invite letter containing all the information needed to present it to the Italian Embassy of his/ her country home.
