Peace Music Festival

Peace is not just a subject of study, but an aesthetic, emotional, and collective experience. This is why the Summer Peace University also embraces the universal language of music and the arts.
The Peace Music Festival – called Summer Peace Music – Matrioska Edition – represents the artistic extension of the SPU.
Each evening is dedicated to a different musical genre (jazz, classical, ethnic, contemporary) and hosts artists from different countries, promoting art as a tool for intercultural dialogue and mutual recognition.
The Festival is organized in collaboration with the artistic directors of the Matrioska Music Festival and partner conservatories and academies. During the SPU weeks, the squares and cloisters of Belvedere Marittimo are transformed into spaces of shared harmony, where music becomes a vehicle for cultural diplomacy. Alongside the Festival, the SPU hosts artistic sessions and visual installations inspired by IsCaPI’s international projects, including The World Gate , which celebrates cooperation between artists from different continents through murals dedicated to the unity of peoples.
Art and diplomacy, music and thought thus merge into a unique language, capable of generating empathy, hope, and vision.
